Leona Louise Livingston was born in San Angelo, Texas on February 28, 1928. She entered Heavens gates on October 9, 2021, she was 93 years old.
She graduated High School in Del Rio, TX and attended Southwest Texas State University in San Marcos, TX where she was on the synchronized swim team.
Louise was a loving mother and homemaker. She spent her days dedicated to raising her four children whom all where adopted. From early on you could find her with a crossword in hand or a word puzzle of some type. She had a college professors vocabulary and would correct you when your sentences were not stated correctly. She had a green thumb and could grow just about anything. Mom was very fashionable and always had the most beautiful ball gowns. She could throw a social party and entertain like no other. She was also an avid bridge player and great dancer. Louise traveled to many countries in her adulthood as she was married to an officer of the Air Force. The one thing she would always tell you is, I lived a good life!
Louise was married to Ernest Perez for 37 years.
She was the fourth daughter of Natalia and Leo Livingston. She is preceded in death by her brothers and sisters, J Ray Livingston, Billie Fern Livingston Fletcher, Sara Jane Livingston Caskey, Robert Thomas Livingston and David Calderon. She is also preceded in death by grandchildren Rachel Lynn Jackson (31), and Clinton (Tre) Hawkins III (36) and great grandchild, Anaya Wilson (9).
She is survived by her bother Milton Walter Livingston of Houston, TX and sister Kathryn Natalie Livingston Oliveras of Del Rio, Tx.
She also survived by her sons and daughters, Daniel Erick Perez (Priscilla) of Van, TX, Matthew Emil Perez (Elizabeth) of Sulphur, LA, Gloria Alison Hawkins (Clinton) of Dallas, TX, and Nancy Aracely Waldroup (Robert) of Van, TX.
She has 10 surviving grandchildren, Cheyenne Perez, Windie Lewis, John Byrne, Naomi Wilson, Matthew Perez II, Ivan Brenham, James Brenham, Bradley Hawkins, Brian Jackson and Natalie Wimberly.
She has 27 great grandchildren, And 2 great-great grand kids and a host of nieces and nephews, friends and family. Her memory shall forever be a warm thought in their hearts and minds.
Her daughter Nancy cared for her in the last 13 years of her life. The family gives her and everyone else who cared for Louise their greatest and warmest gratitude.
Memorial services are scheduled for 2:00 PM, Saturday October 16 at Hilliard Funeral Home,Van.
