Anita was born in Manhattan, New York on March 24th, 1939, to Abe Hirson, and Jennie Bartrell. She spent her childhood in New York and California then, later moved to Grand Prairie, Texas as an adult. She lived her last few years with her late husband, Frank, in Chandler, Texas. Anita appreciated staying busy and being active; she was a hard worker and gave her all to anything she set her mind to. She was a vibrant soul who loved to cook and bake her famous recipes for her family and friends. She also greatly enjoyed gathering with her loved ones to play endless games of Chicken Foot, Phase Ten, and Rummy. Although some may disagree, she rarely lost a game. Her greatest passion was dancing with her late husband Frank; they spent many lovely evenings dancing the night away with no worries of tomorrow. The two of them enjoyed ballroom dancing, the jitterbug, and two-step together. Anita recently joined a line dancing group which brought her an abundance of joy, new friends, and was always the highlight of her week. She was a social butterfly and couldn’t help but to make friends anywhere she went by spreading joy and sharing her infectious positivity to all she encountered. Anita has always relied on her faith in God, and recently began attending Faith Baptist Church. She had many grand-children, and great grand-children who she made precious memories with by teaching them to dance and letting them help her cook in the kitchen. Anita had a smile that could light up the room, and her unforgettable laugh was contagious. She was a loving mother, grand-mother, sister, and friend, and will be dearly missed by many.
