Services for Flecie Rhone will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 9, 2021 at County Line Cemetery. Flecie Mae Sherfield Rhone was born March 26, 1937 in Athens, Texas. She had been a resident of Tyler for 22 years, formerly living n Ben Wheeler. She retired after working many years for Curtis Masters and National Homes. She was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church, where she was very active, and served her church family in many capacities including culinary. Mrs. Rhone passed away at the age of 84 on March 31, 2021. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Henderson Young; second husband, Connally Rhone; parents, Raymond Sherfield and Mary Jane Street Sherfield; three brothers, Elbert Sherfield, Elmer Lee Sherfield, and Eugene Sherfield; and three sisters, Billie Nell Sherfield, Dorothy Faye Sherfield, and Josephine Sherfield. Survivors include her children, Rev. Ray Young (Barbara), Henderson Young (Betty), Rickey Rhone, and Dennetta Rhone; brother, Louis Sherfield (Winnie Ruth); sisters, Essie Mae Burkhalter (Willie) and Betty Cuba (Hardy); seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Louis Sherfield, Demar Young, Ray Young Jr., Alex Hill, Steve Bryant, and Kazan Jones.
