Johnny appreciated the simple things in life. He was happiest when he was surrounded by his large circle of family and friends reminiscing about the “good ole days”. He spent his younger years traveling all over with his family as part of a traveling carnival where his father performed in a trick riding show. He settled down in Lindale as a teenager and has remained in the area ever since. He worked for himself in the landscape business for many years digging and selling trees. He loved to plant vegetable gardens and was known to brag about his 4 foot tall tomato plants. He was a proud grandpa who spent many years bouncing his grandchildren on his knees and singing funny songs. He was loved by many and will be missed until we see him again.
Graveside services for family and friends will be held on Sunday, February 9, 2020 at 2:00 PM at Damascus Cemetery 17052 CR 4105 Lindale, TX.
