Garth Roy Perrett
December 4, 1953 - January 28, 2019

Garth Roy Perrett born December 4, 1953 to Norma Faye Cribb Perrett and Carl Edward Perrett. Raised in Arlington, Texas, Member of the Class of 1972, Sam Houston High School. Garth was a loving brother. Family time was important to him, loved to get together with family, friends, cousins, aunts and uncles to hunt, ski or to just hang out around a campfire. He loved an occasional “GOOD” cigar.
Garth married the love of his life, Lonna Janell Baugh in 1973. They had a forever love, that has lasted for over 45 years. Together they raised 3 children, Jeremy, Jamie and Jared. Garth was a proud father, his children brought him great joy, loved to watch, support and see them succeed. He was known as Papa to Addyson, his only grandchild, who he adored.
Garth had a dream of a better life for his family and with the love and support of his wife, moved to East Texas in 1984. Garth was able to secure that new life, when he landed a job managing a ranch in Winnsboro, Texas, where he stayed for over 32 years. Garth felt blessed to be able do the work he loved, working outdoors, being able to walk out his front door every day to get to work. During those years he had the opportunity to be a mentor and roll model to many that came to the ranch to work, including his own 3 children. He taught them the meaning of a hard day’s work, always be on time, honor, morals, integrity, as well as introduced them to the things he loved to do, hunt, fish, shoot and ride motorcycles. Garth worked hard and he played hard, he was an excellent marks-man, took pride in always making sure his family felt safe and protected. Garth had a wonderful, infectious laugh, a man of few words, as well as a man of his word. He was a loyal, trustworthy friend.
Garth Roy Perrett was reunited with his son, Jeremiah "Jeremy" Marques Perrett; his brother Anthony "Tony" Craig Perrett; and his parents on January 28, 2019.
He is survived by his wife, Lonna Baugh Perrett of Winnsboro, TX; daughter, Jamie Perrett Vasquez, husband Mike and their daughter, Addyson of Mansfield, TX; son, Jared Dylan Perrett of Winnsboro, TX; brother, Clay Perrett and wife Becky of Lindale, TX; sister, Mary Jane Perrett Talley and husband John of Alvarado, TX; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
