Owen Franklin King

Services for Owen King will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 23, 2019 at Hilliard Funeral Home with Rev. Kenneth Meadows officiating. Visitation will be held on Friday evening, November 22, 2019 from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. He will be laid to rest next to his wife, Mildred at Union Chapel Cemetery.
Owen Franklin King was born November 28, 1941 in the Kemp area. He was a resident of Lindale, member of Clearwater Baptist Church, and served in the U.S. Navy. He worked as a truck driver and a member of Teamsters for 33 years.
Owen passed away at the age of 77 on November 13, 2019 in Tyler. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred King in 2012; grandson, Jacob Harrison; and parents, Austin Franklin King and Mittie Orene Pyles King.
Survivors include his four children, Shane Jarman (Jon) of Van, Sherry Harrison (Harvey) of Jamestown, Joseph King of Van, and Shannan King of Blooming Grove; brother, Falice King (Sue) of Callender Lake; and grandchildren, Owen, Amanda, Toni, Austin Michael, Justin, Bryan, Cheyenne, Bradley, Tiffany, Roy Austin, Kaycee, Chance and Morgan; and twenty great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Owen Harrison, Austin Harrison, Chance King, Bryan Bellar, Bradley Bogue, and Roy Austin Bogue.
