Services for Dannie Lynch will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 6, 2019 at Union Chapel Cemetery with Rev. Mark Leonard officiating. Visitation will be held at Hilliard Funeral Home from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., immediately before the graveside service.
Dannie Lee Lynch was born June 19, 1945 in Grand Saline, Texas to Jessie and Lura Mae Lynch. He was a resident of Grand Saline for most of his life, later moving to Van. As a young man, he learned the art of farming and gardening from his father. This carried into his adult life, as he always had a beautiful garden full of wonderful vegetables. In his spare time, if he wasnt gardening, you could find him at the lake fishing or spending time with family. Before retiring, he worked as a Supervisor for the City of Dallas, for more than 30 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jessie and Lura Mae Lynch; sisters, Wanda Woodall and Ruby Lynch; and brothers, Weldon and Kenneth Lynch.
He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Patsy; daughters, Patricia Sherman of Van, Teresa Chambers of Van, LeAnn Weider and husband, Bob of Midland, and Jennifer Salmon and husband, Steve of New York; grandson, Dylan Chambers of Van; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; siblings, Peggy Hale (Larry) of Lindale, Jimmy Lynch (Sandy) of Grand Saline, Betty Melton and husband, Lynn of Grand Saline; sister-in-law, Carolyn Lynch ; as well as many nieces, nephews and countless friends.
Pallbearers will be Dylan Chambers, Dennis Tucker, Lance Melton, Lane Melton, Sonny Fisher, and Jim Lynch. Honorary pallbearers will be Larry Hale, DeWayne Hale, Edward Woodall, Harvey Woodall, and Boots Fisher.
