Services for Harold Sexton will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 6, 2019 at New Beginnings Community Church with Pastor Ron Wells officiating. A graveside will follow at Edom Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. at the church, immediately before the service.
Harold Leon Sexton was born May 11, 1934 in Ben Wheeler, Texas, where he was also raised. He lived in Tyler for over 30 years, returning to Ben Wheeler 23 years ago. He was a hard worker, working as a mechanic for TISD and owning Sexton Auto Repair. He owned Rose City Bus Co. and drove for DSI for over 10 years. He was a member of New Beginnings Community Church and was a Master Mason. He was a wonderful dad and could fix anything. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, and piddlin' on the farm.
Harold passed away at the age of 84 on April 3, 2019. He was preceded in death by his parents, James Frederick Sexton and Nettie Alice Loper Sexton; brothers, Marlin, Vernon and Noel Sexton; sister, Barbara Lamkin; grandson, William Brent Dotson; and nephew, Steve Evans.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Wanda Sexton of Ben Wheeler; daughters, Cindy Dotson (Jeff Davis) of Ben Wheeler, Lisa Driver (Doug) of Nolanville, and Jennifer Ramsey (Possom) of Ben Wheeler; grandchildren, Zane Dotson, Kaela Linscombe, Ashley DeSilva, Hunter Ramsey (Emily) and Trevor Ramsey (Kacie); two great-grandchildren, Nicholas and Amelia DeSilva; aunt, Ileene Sexton; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
