Mrs. Nunn was the sweetest the teacher. I think of her beautiful smile and kind words often. She was so positive and friendly. Let her life of service to others be an encouragement to all. I extend my deepest sympathy to her family and friends.

Mrs. Nunn taught at Stewart Middle school with my Mother, Lucie Acker. Mother loved her and spoke highly of her. I remember her sweet smile when I would visit Mother at school. Mother passed away in August of this year. Prayers for your family.

Mary Nunn

Dallas, TX

I was ten years old when my oldest brother Rex married Emma. She has been a part of our lives for sixty-one years. Our family gained one of the greatest assets imaginable. Emma was a treasure greater than gold. Our hearts are broken, we love you Emma. Via con dios. Until we meet again.

Love and Blessings,

Mary Nunn

My love and prayers go out to my uncle Rex, my cousins, and their families. My aunt Emma served as one of the greatest influences of my life. Aunt Emma taught me how to serve others even through our hardest trials in life. It was a privilege to have my Aunt Emma as a Spanish teacher through the sixth grade. She created a fun and nurturing learning environment where students loved to attend class. We used to tease the other students by questioning them as to why they were unable to recognize the family resemblance. In addition to her fun spirit, and her gifted teaching abilities, she impacted the lives of many students. She possessed the ability to enhance the lives of students, and adults, under good or struggling circumstances. In addition to her achievements, and long hours of work, she raised a beautiful family. May God Bless and carry you all through this time. Aunt Emma’s love, strength, and faith, is carried on through all of you as well as the many lives she touched.

Blessings and love to all,

Sheryl, Paige, and Collin

Luis & Mary Nunez & Family

Tyler, TX

Our deepest condolences to your family. La Maéstra will be greatly missed! She was such a sweet, loving person and a very special lady. We considered her so close that it felt like she was part of our family. She was very very close to our mother Lucila Nuñez. She has reached eternity where family and friends are embracing her with open arms! Until we meet again...

I still remember the Spanish Christmas carols she taught me in high school at John Tyler. I sing them every year to my children, 25 years later. She was always such a happy, fun, kind teacher.
