So sorry to hear about Melda. I have known her for many years when we both lived in Van Tx. She was a very sweet friend and loved to play cards with her and had many visits that I will always remember. Nellie

My condolences to the family. No one is ever really fully prepared to lose a loved one in death. In the last three years I have lost my wife, my daughter and a son. There were some Bible verses that helped me so much. I would like to share a few with you in hope that they will help you, too. One was in John 5:28, 29 where Jesus promised to bring back to life all those in the graves. So, we can see our loved ones again in the future. In Revelation 21:1-4 Jesus promised a whole new world where death, sorrow, pain and tears would be done away with. So, if we are there to welcome back our loved ones from the grave, we will never again have to lose someone we love. I hope this has helped a little. There is much more at jw.org. Steve

My family and I are deeply sorry for your loss. The pain of losing a love one can be unbearable. May God strengthen and comfort your family at this most difficult time. God is near all those brokenhearted so he can be of comfort to them. Psalm 34:18. Very soon God will removed death forever and bring back our love ones who have died by means of a resurrection. Revelation 21:3,4 and Acts 24:15
