Eleanor Muriel Wheeler was born January 29, 1923 in Bristol, Connecticut to the late William and Mabel Bissell. She had been in Canton about 5 ½ years, moving from Bristol, CT. and was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, William S. Wheeler, Sr., daughter, Terry Benoit, sister, Mabel Bissell and brother, Bill Bissell.
Survivors include son, William S. Wheeler, Jr., Ft. Lauderdale, FL; daughter, Carol Lide and husband, H. L., Canton; sister, Irene Mafale, Prescott Valley, AZ; 3 grandchildren, Scott Lide, Cleburn, Lori Ruffino and Brad Benoit, both of Middle Town, CT; and 4 great-grandchildren.
